Summer is finally with us.
To me, this is the most celebrated and awaited season of the year. I always look forward to summer. However, with all air conditioners off for a couple of months during winter, what is the best way to ensure that the equipment is ready to run through summer without breaking down? My a/c unit had been off for about five months and before summer started, I wanted to ensure that the equipment still functioned fine. From the a/c care plan given to me by the a/c representative that did my air conditioner installation, I needed to schedule an air conditioning maintenance session with an a/c worker so they can examine the system and do any necessary a/c repairs if any. I called the air conditioning business and scheduled a technician to do the tune-up. The tune-up took about three hours and I was hoping I did not need to spend too much money at the air conditioning supplier store because of multiple part replacements. However, there was good news, I only needed to replace the filters and clean up the entire unit. Replacing the filters significantly increased the air quality and restored the optimal function of the unit, just as it was when it was a new air conditioning system. After running the required a/c service, now I had to assign a cleaning crew to clean my entire home and have a clean slate as at the start of summer. The air conditioning company also explained a few things I could do on my own without the help of a technician as part of the a/c care program.
