With the fall season approaching plus the cooler weather coming, I’ve been thinking about our oil furnace a lot; Last season, the oil furnace needed to be repaired twice plus it wasn’t cheap.
I didn’t prefer paying for unwanted Heating and A/C repairs since I’ve consistently been diligent about having our Heating and A/C method took care of twice per year.
I guess that it’s not the Heating and A/C professional’s fault, it’s the fault of our oil furnace since it’s so old. I still wasn’t sure if it was time to have our oil furnace upgraded. During our last Heating and A/C tune up, I asked the Heating and A/C professional what she thought about having our oil furnace upgraded with something newer versus saving the money plus waiting, but without hesitation, she told myself and others that it was time to upgrade the oil furnace. It wasn’t heating our lake cabin efficiently anymore, it was costing myself and others to have it repaired, plus it was over a decade old, but knowing all of this, it made more financial sense to purchase a modern oil furnace rather than keep our existing one. If I kept the existing oil furnace, I would spend more money in the long run compared to purchasing a modern one. Deep down, I knew this was true. The price tag was pressing for a modern oil furnace, but again, I didn’t want to spend more money on repairs plus service when the oil furnace wasn’t heating our lake cabin efficiently anymore. Since that appointment, I’ve been researching which oil furnace to install plus I’m waiting on an estimate from the Heating and A/C company. I’d prefer to have the modern oil furnace installed before the temperature drops.
