My wife and I stumbled upon a wonderful apartment in a good location that we couldn’t pass up.
All of us had been half-heartedly searching for a new apartment because we weren’t desperate to move but we wanted to see what was on the market.
All of us assumed it would take weeks before finding a apartment that we entirely wanted and we assumed right. All of us would glance at the houses available and we would even tour a few that we liked. Almost an entire year passed before we found a apartment that we knew we entirely wanted. It was built in the seventies, so it was old but easily cared for. A lot of cosmetic variations needed to be made, starting with the shag carpet and the wallpaper. All of us also had hopes of replacing the baseboard heat plan for a central oil furnace system. Unfortunately, we would need to add ductwork and air vents and the process would cost us thoUnited Statesnds of dollars. The apartment didn’t have air conditioning, but we didn’t need it in the area. However, if we were going to install a central oil furnace, we might as well install AC too. Since we didn’t want to spend the money on it, we decided to hold off on purchasing a brand new Heating and A/C system. Instead, we updated a few of the baseboard heating systems because they were in rough shape. They were under a single hundred dollars each and it made a giant difference… One day we’ll be able to update the Heating and A/C system, but this week is not that day.
