Our mom got us to work cleaning the floors in the evening at her office building. We were hoping she would get us office positions, but she said that we don’t have any skills, so we have to start at the bottom. The whole office building got brand new flooring last month. Ever since then, the boss has been on us to wash the floors every single evening. The owner of the building doesn’t want them to lose their shine. The commercial flooring was so beautiful when it was put down and she wants to make sure that it will continue to look superb for a while in the future. We’ve been helping out with the flooring since we went to the hour evening shift. The hour evening shift starts at 10:00 instead of 9:00. We had to move to this shift when our partners started their new jobs. They do not get home until 9:30 and we share cars. Our boss was delighted to move us to the other shift and let us start an hour later. Folks were complaining about the new flooring not getting cleaned and one of the offices so our name was the first one mentioned. We quickly reminded the guys that our schedule had been changed. That particular office was no longer on our rotation. It was now part of the new guys schedule. We thought we saw them sleeping upstairs in one of the cut rooms, however we could not be too sure that it was them sleeping on that task.
