Courtney and I have known each other for years.
We became friends because our parents were friends.
We’d meet up when our moms were catching up and have a blast. Later, we went to the same schools up until graduating from high school. I chose to go to cosmetology school to train to do hair. It was my dream to work in the finest salons and perhaps one day become a celebrity hair stylist. Courtney and I even spoke about doing some tutorials on TikTok since she had amazing hair. However, she had no interest in learning to do hair. Instead, Courtney chose to go to HVAC school and train to be a HVAC repair person. She is a whiz with machines and has always known how to fix things. So, she chose to go to trade school and learn how to work on heating and cooling units. By the time I was out of hair school, she was winding up HVAC training and got her certification to work as a heating and cooling specialist. Her first position was with a resident heating and cooling business in our home town. One day I was at home doing mom’s hair when a HVAC van pulled up. We were having issues with the HVAC system so mom had phoned the local heating and cooling business for assistance. I was so happy to see Courtney emerge from the van. She was there to handle the HVAC matter and we were amazed to see her at work. We are both doing what we love which is amazing.
