Cold spots in the house

There are cold spots in our new home now and we are going to have to figure out what we are going to do about it! Neither my spouse nor I know anything at all about heating and cooling systems, and so we have basically just been sauntering around trying to figure out where all of these cold spots are coming from in our house.

I did a little bit of reading online to try to figure out what the problem was, and this one Heating and Air Conditioning blog that I follow said that cold spots are usually caused by complications within your ventilation ducts.

I thought that that was an interesting bit of information, since I was thinking that the cold spots were caused by other problems like a problem with the oil furnace plan itself. It turns out that the oil furnace at our new home was working just fine, but we were just having issues with their ventilation ducts, and I am getting ahead of myself! After I had done that bit of research, I decided that we would call up our local heating and cooling supplier and have them come out to check out our ventilation plan for us, but we did not have any of the tools needed to decide whether or not this was genuinely the problem, so we knew that we needed a professional. After the Heating and Air Conditioning worker came out to the house, it did not take him long at all to figure out that the problem was indeed, our ventilation ducts, then some of our ductwork sealing was not working well and we had some holes and broken places where the heating was escaping into non- inhabited areas of the new home appreciate the attic.
