There are cold spots in our house now and every one of us are going to have to figure out what we are going to do about it.
- Neither my husband nor I know anything at all about heating and cooling systems, and so we have basically just been wandering around trying to figure out where all of these cold spots are coming from in our house! I did a little bit of looking online to try and figure out what the complication was, and this one HVAC blog that I follow said that cold spots are usually caused by troubles within your ventilation ducts.
I thought that that was an interesting bit of information, since I was thinking that the cold spots were caused by other issues like a complication with the gas furnace system itself. It turns out that the gas furnace at our house was working just fine, however we were just having troubles with their ventilation ducts. But I am getting ahead of myself. After I had done that bit of research, I decided that we would call up our local heating and cooling corporation and have them come out to check out our ventilation system for us, we did not have any of the tools needed to decide whether or not this was really the problem, so we knew that we needed a professional. After the HVAC worker came out to the house, it did not take him long at all to figure out that the complication was indeed, our ventilation ducts. Some of our HVAC duct sealing was not working very well and every one of us had some holes and broken places where the heating was escaping into non- inhabited areas of the lake house in the attic.
