We stayed at a really cool little hotel when we were up north on a family vacation a few weeks ago.
The whole place was a really neat sort of hotel.
There was a big fountain in the middle of the courtyard and a pool in the back. They were also welcoming of pets and so there were a lot of cool dogs around there that we could meet and pet. They also had a great breakfast in the lobby in the mornings, with all kinds of eggs, fresh biscuits, and strawberry jam that the owner had made herself. One of the interesting things about the hotel was the heating and cooling system that they had in the rooms. I had never been into a hotel that had this sort of cooling system in it before. When we walked in, I wasn’t sure what the weird looking apparatus on the wall was, but then I saw a remote control on the bed that was not for the TV. The remote control is actually for the heating and cooling system. It was a little thermostat remote control that you could turn the HVAC system on with and adjust the temperature. When I turned the power button on, the Unit started right up. It was a ductless mini split heating and cooling system . I read that on the side of the unit and within minutes, the temperature inside of the hotel room was toasty and warm. I loved that ductless mini split system! I’m thinking that we might want to get one for our three season room at home.
