Walking around barefoot in our house in the winter time is the best! This is the first year that I’ve been living here that I have ever had the chance to really walk around in our house during the winter time without any shoes on, and usually it’s so cold here in the house that going without shoes isn’t ever even an option, and it’s one of those things that I always wanted to do during the winter, but I just could not because I would end up with cold cold feet! But then, two weeks ago, I opted to go on trip and ended up at a new home that had radiant heated flooring installed in it, but my fiance and I had never even heard of radiant heated flooring before we stayed in this particular cabin, however we both enjoyed it.
- Both of us talked to the owners of the current home after we checked out, and we found out what sort of heating plan this was and how it worked, they highly proposed it to us, and as soon as we got back home, we called up our local heating and cooling supplier to find out what we needed to do to get this type of heating plan installed in our own house, and within the next couple of weeks we ended up doing everything that we needed to do to get the radiant heated flooring installed in our house.
We now have radiant heated flooring in our kitchen, our hallways, and in our bathrooms. We decided to leave carpet in the bedrooms, however now I wish that we had gone ahead and put the radiant floor heating in the bedrooms too! I like it that much.
