What a miserable afternoon it had been.
I went to bed late because I was out celebrating with my wifey for her anniversary. Then the next afternoon, super early in the day, my wifey told me there was a loud noise coming from the basement. I could entirely hear the noise as soon as I woke up in addition to it was pretty loud. I was concerned that there might be a complication with the oil furnace, but fortunately that was not the case. The thing that was struggling in addition to making all the loud noise was entirely the sump pump. It turned out that the discharge hose that was outside of the home had frozen. The previous night, the temperatures dropped somewhere around disadvantage 15 degrees fahrenheit in addition to somewhere in that line there was frozen water. I tried digging up the line in addition to seeing if I could get the ice to break, even though I was unable to get to the clog. The actual clog was somewhere between the wall in addition to where the pipe came back up outside in addition to I couldn’t get to it. I tried pouring hot hot water into the line which I thought would melt the ice, but it didn’t work. I even tried pouring alcohol in there, but that didn’t work either, then at the end of the afternoon, I ended up giving up. I am not sure what to do, I just was sick of being outside in the frigid temps while I wanted to get to my work in my office with the ideal temperature control settings. I ended up using a unusual discharge hose in addition to sending the water out of a window, for the time being.
