In the business world, it can be said to still be a startup.
I started as a junior a/c repairman and have worked myself off to get promoted to a senior air conditioning professional. I remember when I first started, we had a few trucks that we used to ferry equipment needed for any a/c care. We usually use huge equipment during a/c setup. The commercial air conditioner for a big space is huge and to be hoisted up, we need a specialized machine. We would draw out appointments and space them up as we had very few trucks. Now having risen the ranks at work, I understood how important having the perfect gear was. I put in a request to have a new truck. In the meantime, we continued sharing the few trucks we had. This issue meant that we were limiting our air conditioning install jobs. Our big break came when we had to do massive a/c repairs to several units at the games auditorium center. The auditorium had several central air conditioners that we were to perform comprehensive a/c services. The pay from that job was enough to buy us a couple more trucks. This would boost the profit margin of the air conditioning business. Coupled with our sale of climate control devices such as the digital thermostat and air conditioning filters, this would ensure we pay for the trucks before the year-end. The staff was also happy with the purchase as this would allow them to take up multiple jobs.
