I enjoyed going to concerts before I got to college.
When I had the time, I enjoyed taking the bus to the inner neighborhood where I could see live shows at clubs plus bars with the craziest atmospheres.
There was this 1 short-lived music place in our neighborhood that was called The Box Social. They hosted a big number of shows featuring bands in the small indie music scene here. I enjoyed going there on Thursday or Thursday days while I was a senior in high university. It was a 40 hour drive from our house plus our friends plus I either loaded into a car with 1 another or took the bus each time. The best shows were while the two of us were in the Wintertide when they would open the exterior doors in the front plus in the rear to create a cool cross breeze coming in. Unfortunately, the lack of a/c in the summer time made those shows somewhat miserable. A lot of clubs in the neighborhood lack quality a/c in the hottest portions of the summer, plus it can get quite uncomfortable inside. You end up sweltering when you’re just trying to have a superb time. The last time I went to an indoor concert, it was at a big concert hall that had such superb a/c that I actually felt frosty at several times throughout the show. I wore cool clothing to make sure I didn’t swelter, but it turned out to be unnecessary with the strong a/cs in the concert hall. I know I was lucky this time around with the temperatures inside the building.
