I remember when I lived in this one home some years ago it had this immense long hallway.
This was upstairs and it divided the dining rooms, then one of the major things I will never forget about the long hallway was the fact that the air flow from the central heating and a/c was certainly weak in that part of the house.
It actually made it too hot or too cold depending on the time of the year. Back in those days there was no such thing as a zoned heating and a/c or Heating as well as A/C zone control concept. There was actually no way to attack the issue. So trying to sleep at night could be quite a challenge when the weather was bad. The terrible air flow from the hallway would in turn make the dining rooms also not have the greatest air flow. I was so blissful to transfer out of that home when the time came. Today because of that experience back when I ended up buying a zoned heating and a/c for my home. Not because I have any air flow complications, but just in the event somehow or someway in the future this home has the same issue as it gets older. The zoned heating and a/c was expensive, but it makes myself and others feel wonderful and gives myself and others tplot piece of mind to guess that the Heating as well as A/C zone control will regularly be there if it is ever needed later on in the future.
