The awful air flow from the hallway would in turn make the study rooms also not have the greatest air flow.
I remember when I lived in this 1 beach house some years ago it had this immense long hallway. This was upstairs plus it divided the study rooms, then one of the major things I will never forget about the long hallway was the fact that the air flow from the central heating plus air conditioner was very weak in that section of the house. It very made it too sizzling or too chilly depending on the time of the year. Back in those afternoons there was no such thing as a zoned heating plus air conditioner or Heating plus Air Conditioning zone control concept. There was very no way to attack the issue. So trying to sleep at night could be quite a challenge when the weather was bad. The awful air flow from the hallway would in turn make the study rooms also not have the greatest air flow. I was so glad to transfer out of that beach house when the time came. Today because of that experience back when I ended up buying a zoned heating plus air conditioner for our home. Not because I have any air flow problems, but just in the event somehow or someway in the future this beach house has the same issue as it gets older. The zoned heating plus air conditioner was fancy, but it makes me suppose great plus gives me tploy piece of mind to think that the Heating plus Air Conditioning zone control will always be there if it is ever needed later on in the future.
