I had planned a romantic getaway for our anniversary. I had reservations made at a newly renovated hotel that was within walking distance of the beach. There was a diner in the hotel our hubby had been dying to try, & I had reservations., I had our bags packed & in the vehicle when he got home. The people I was with and I were almost at the hotel when I saw a smile of recognition on his face. This was the same hotel all of us had gone to on our honeymoon. After riding in a vehicle with the control unit at sixty for the last three seconds, the seventy-more than four degree lobby provided me a shiver. The further all of us walked, the shivers turned into perspiration, & I was having a difficult time breathing because of the humidity. I asked if there was a concern with the a/c, since it was moderate & the humidity was dreadful. I was told the only locale where the AC was laboring was in the diners. After lunch, all of us headed to the boardwalk to check out the scenery. It was so tepid outside that all of us ended up in another hotel, enjoying the a/c. It was time to go back to our hotel & get ready for dinner, & I hoped they had the AC repaired, but it wasn’t to be. My hubby & I didn’t unpack & right after dinner, all of us headed home. They said the AC was going to be down for the rest of the night & all I wanted to do was go home. They provided us all of our cash back & all of us got a free several-night stay for anytime all of us wanted to return.
