Last week, I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier to have some work done on my a/c unit.
- I still had cool air coming from the A/C unit, however I been hearing a few strange noises over the last several afternoons.
This time of year, it often took longer for an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist to arrive because of breakdowns that occur during heat waves. It surprised me it took him less than a month to arrive at my house. When the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist arrived, I showed him to the a/c unit and offered him a glass of iced tea. It was so hot outside that I could not let him work with the afternoonlight beating down on him and not having something chilly to drink. She refused the iced tea, however she accepted a bottle of energy drink that I had in the fridge. I noticed she kept looking into the kitchen window at me as she worked on my a/c unit. I thought she looked familiar, however I thought maybe she was someone my sister graduated with, and my sister was almost 10 years older than I was, and you cannot imagine how shocked I was when she told me her name and this time it clicked. I had graduated middle school with this man, and yet she looked so much older. The afternoonlight had weathered her skin as much as it weathered the a/c units she worked on. Before realizing who the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C specialist was, I thought she was at least 50 years old. When I finally recognized him, I realized she was no older than I was, and I was only 32.
