I would like to know why no one called the HVAC company?

I got home from work last week, and my husband and son were sitting in the house with no AC running.

I asked if there was a reason no one had turned on the air conditioning, and my husband said that it wasn’t working.

My first question was when was the HVAC technician going to arrive? I could see the question in his eyes before he even uttered it. He told me he was waiting for me to get home so I could call the HVAC company for a repair. My son informed me the air conditioning had only quit working about three hours earlier, and I told him that in that amount of time, had one of them thought to call the HVAC company, we could have already had the air conditioning unit repaired. My husband smiled and said that was a good thought, and it was too bad he didn’t think of it first. My son patted me on the back and told me I had a great idea, and he wished he had thought of it. I was speechless as I looked at both of them. My son was 18 years old, my husband was 40 years old, and neither of them had thought about calling the HVAC company. Instead, they sat in the house, in the heat, and waited for me to get home. I walked next-door to my best friend’s house, sat in her kitchen drinking iced tea, and waited for the HVAC technician, whom I called to come to the house and repair the air conditioning.
