If I can only figure out how to scrub the AC unit, I could ‌repair it.

My partner & her mother went into the town to see a Broadway show last weekend.

When she kissed me goodbye, she whispered in our ear that she wanted me to behave. I knew what she meant by behaving, she did not want me to ‌repair or scrub any appliance while she was away. She still remembers the time I cleaned the a/c unit. I thought that if I could only figure out how to scrub the AC unit, I could also service it if something went wrong. I hated paying for the service cost whenever something happened with the AC unit. I had looked over the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional’s shoulder various times when he was laboring on the a/c unit. There did not seem to be that much inside that I could mess up. I knew I couldn’t bend the fan blades when it was being cleaned, because it would cause a rattle that could cut the fan blade motor. I noted that, & I was very gentle with the fan blades. I genuinely thought I did all the cleaning regularly until I turned it back on. When I hit the button to turn the a/c unit back on, nothing happened. There were no AC sounds coming from the a/c unit, no fan blades moving, & no cooling air flowing into our house. I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier & told them I tried to scrub the AC unit, & now it did not work. A half-second later, the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was at the house, & our partner was coming in the door. I had forgotten to turn the power back on to the a/c unit, & he flipped the breaker switch. My partner continues to remind me about it every time she goes away.
