A pool of water beneath the ductwork

Insomnia hit me at the usual hour, 3 am.

I walked downstairs to get myself a glass of turmeric milk, which helped sometimes.

When I got downstairs, I noticed that the temperatures on the lower floor were lower. I saw a puddle of water just below the ductwork as I walked. The readings on the digital thermostat would be high, but the temperatures within the house were low. It was still freezing in the place. I also noticed a hissing sound coming from the a/c setup. I knew then that there was an issue, and if I ignored it further, it would be detrimental to me. I was in a dilemma because it was Thanksgiving weekend, which meant that many of the residential or commercial air conditioning providers had closed, so there were no available cooling experts. I decided to try Mr. Google for some temporary solutions to my problem. After typing in my system’s symptoms, I established that the problem could be a leaky duct. With duct tape, the answer was simple, although temporary. The air conditioning company was closed, so that was a dead end. I went out and bought the duct tape. Immediately after the holiday, I got a hold of an air conditioning professional. I also ordered a HEPA filter. The previous AC filter was good at maintaining good air quality, but I wanted to try something new. When the air conditioning professional arrived, I led him straight to the HVAC system to run quality AC service. When he finished working on the electric heat pump, he proceeded to the vents. I also picked up a hobby of reading every time sleep eluded me.
