Bring your heating and A/C supplier into the planning process early so you can stay comfortable in your newly designed space.
Once the project is complete, you will have a fully functional and efficient way to keep the new or remodeled space comfortable for years to come.
Your heating and A/C options may change as a result of your beach house renovation. You may be able to extend your heating and A/C ducts to condition the new or remodeled space. To determine whether your heating and A/C unit will be able to handle the new space, your supplier will make a sizing calculation. You may still be able to use the new unit if the sizing calculation indicates it is too small. Through zoning, your beach house can be divided into a few separate areas that will be heated and cooled separately. Aside from being able to use your new central system, your cute house will be more comfortable, and your A/C bills may be lower. If your new plan is too small or has reached the end of its lifespan, you may need to install an absolutely new one. If you meet the criteria of the lender, you might be able to fold the cost into the financing for beach house renovations. Mini split ductless heat pumps give heating and cooling without the need of an HVAC duct. For beach house additions or retrofits, they’re ideal as their high efficiency and ease of upgrade make them a nice choice. As each mini split has its own control unit, you can turn it off or adjust the temperature when not in use.
