Every year, when the summer time weeks begin to bleed into the fall weeks, I begin to prep my HVAC plan for the seasonal change.
In a matter of weeks, this region goes through a major temperature shift plus I like to have my a/c plan plus oil furnace prepared.
The first thing I do is hire an HVAC professional to come service my entire HVAC system. The HVAC professional is responsible for inspecting the machine to make sure everything is laboring respectfully plus they also do some light tuning where needed. It’s essential for me to have an HVAC tune up while in this time because it ensures that my HVAC machine is running as it should be. It’s the single best thing I can do to improve the lifespan of both my oil furnace plus a/c. This year, along with hiring the HVAC professional, I’ve also decided to go around plus reseal the doors plus windows. This is something I do every other year because my home is outdated plus there are a lot of cracks that let the air escape. Even though I have a wonderful HVAC plan that runs efficiently, it’s inefficient for me to leave the cracks unsealed because it creates more work for my HVAC system. Sealing the doors plus windows takes an entire afternoon, however it’s a relatively easy task. I can get the sealant plus tools from the hardware store plus save the leftover materials for the next time. Doing this has made a large difference in my HVAC efficiency.
