Chaperoning the new cooling techs

All of us headed to a customer’s cabin 1 morning for air conditioning repair.

I had a team of 5 cooling techs with me; some were novices, while the rest had experience working on cooling products.

The client had called the air conditioning supplier complaining that his Heating, Ventilation plus A/C component had been acting up for a week. He explained that he had observed decreased indoor air pollen levels and comfort. There were also odd noises coming from the air conditioning install. When the two of us got there and assessed the system, the two of us found that 1 major area had a problem. The component was quite ancient and soon needed upgradement. As the senior air conditioning expert, I advised that the client consider replacing the system. The indoor air cleaning method was OK, but the two of us needed to upgrade the air filter. After explaining a few things to the homeowner, he decided on a central air conditioning system. The type of component was usually quiet and produced minimal noise. He would also need to keep up with air conditioning service to ensure the long life span of the equipment. With proper air conditioning tune-up, the method would constantly be running optimally, and the cost will be small in case of a breakdown. The homeowner asked if he had a career to play in caring for the quality air conditioning, and I offered him a few tips he could implement. However, he would have to leave the rest to the cooling workman. It was an excellent occasion for the novices to learn about the device and how to handle homeowners and other customers, and sometimes I found teaching more exhausting than the technical bit of the work because on such days; I went home more sleepy than on the other days.
