Camping on the beach.

My husband Ed and I would never consider going to the beach in the daytime, because it is very crowded.

The sun beats down on you; the sand reflects it back, and the sunburns are debilitating.

Ed and I like to go to the beach at evening. Both of us take our camper and hang outside, enjoying the twinkling stars and moonrise. It is peaceful, and although there are a few other campers, Ed and I can still have our privacy. Both of us have air conditioning in our camper, which makes it far more comfortable for sleeping. Both of us spend a lot of time celebrating with other campers, however when it is time for bed, they go to their tents or campers. That’s when Ed and I turn the air conditioning on and relax. Both of us have a window above our bed, and Ed and I can watch the shooting stars and the clouds as they drift across the evening sky. In the day, when the sun comes up, and it gets tepid again, Ed and I head home. Both of us have excellent air conditioning in our home and never worry about the high heat and humidity. It’s nice being retired and able to sleep on the beach and spend the whole day in our home with the air conditioning, last week Ed and I didn’t even go to the beach. Both of us curled up in the camper and spent a lazy evening under the stars, while having a slumber celebration with our grandchildren. Ed and I got little sleep since they wanted to play hide and seek and go swimming before going to sleep. It was nearly 3 AM before they settled down and thought it was time for rest.
