I got a frantic cellphone call from my secretary last week.
She was tied up out because the cellphone was ringing non-stop.
She told me she hadn’t had time to eat her supper or drink her coffee, then people were going silly and everyone wanted an Heating and Air Conditioning professional to their cabin sureterday. I chuckled and told her to take a deep breath. I was on my way into work, and my spouse was coming along. I knew the Heating and Air Conditioning dealer got severely busy over the holidays, and my secretary should be getting used to it. The difference was that this year, my secretary was waiting for her kid to call and tell her she was a Grandma. My spouse walked over and offered Mary a hug and told her to go get something to eat. She asked her to bring a cup of tea for her on her way back to work. When Mary left, my spouse told me I should quit laughing at her, and it would be nice if I offered her a big bonus. She honestly did work hard for the Heating and Air Conditioning dealer and she did an excellent task. My spouse wasn’t sure she could handle the stress plus Mary had. I offered her a hug, swatted her butt, and sent her out to the desk. She was next up to handle the rest of the crazies who called throughout the day. When Mary came back to the Heating and Air Conditioning dealer, she was all smiles. While she was at supper, her kid called and said she was the proud Grandma of a little boy.
