I got a frantic cellphone call from my secretary last week.
She was stressed out because the cellphone was ringing non-stop.
She told me he hadn’t had time to eat his supper or drink his coffee. People were going crazy & most people wanted an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional to their apartment yeahterday. I chuckled & told his to take a deep breath. I was on my way into work, & my husband was coming along. I knew the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company got extremely busy over the holidays, & my secretary should be getting used to it. The difference was that this year, my secretary was waiting for his kid to call & tell his he was a Grandmother. My husband walked over & gave Mary a hug & told his to go get something to eat. She asked his to bring a cup of pop for his on his way back to work. When Mary left, my husband told me I should quit laughing at her, & it would be nice if I gave his a large bonus. She absolutely did toil tough for the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company & he did an excellent task. My husband wasn’t sure he could handle the stress plus Mary had. I gave his a hug, swatted his butt, & sent his out to the desk. She was next up to handle the rest of the crazies who called throughout the day. When Mary came back to the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company, he was all smiles. While he was at supper, his kid called & said he was the proud Grandmother of a little boy.
