I recently went on a contractor trip that took myself and others to a really nice plus costly hotel.
The contractor trip mostly revolved around a conference, plus myself and others plus our colleagues were in attendance.
There were really interesting talks plus seminars, plus overall, I had a pretty good time plus was still getting paid all the while! Not to mention the generous stipend all of us were given for meals! It would have been a perfect experience were it not for one simple thing. While I was grateful to get a hotel room with a colleague that had really similar ideas as to what temperature on the thermostat was comfortable, most of the conference rooms plus the whole section in which the conference was being held blasted the air conditioning with reckless abandon! I actually adore cooler temperatures. Both of us set the thermostat to 68° back in the hotel room. However, the section the conference took place in seemed adore it was set to something adore 59°! Any time there was a cut between meetings or it was time to grab a bite to eat from one of the local vendors, I almost always sat outside in the afternoonlight while having our meal. When it’s a good relief to get the warmth of the afternoonlight instead of staying inside under the air conditioning in such a boiling region of the country, you can be sure that the air conditioning is being abused. I guess the people who own the building just know that when they’re hosting conferences they need to blast the cooling system!
