I was really concerned when they hooked up my new furnace and smart thermostat.
The HVAC technician was spending more time flirting with my daughter, than he was working.
I worried he may not hook up the wires correctly. Maybe he put the wrong password in the smart thermostat and it wouldn’t work for us. I went into the kitchen and called to my daughter. I told her it was time to do the dishes, but it took her a couple of minutes before she came out. When she picked up the dish towel, I told her I didn’t want her talking to the HVAC technician. If he wasn’t working on my HVAC system, I didn’t care. As long as he was here as a professional HVAC technician, he was off limits to her. She balked about what I said, but she stayed in the kitchen until he came out to give his report. After he was done telling me about the work, and handed me the service order, my daughter followed him out. When she came back in, she said he asked for her phone number before he left. For the next two weeks, she waited by the phone for the HVAC technician to call. He didn’t call her, but I had to call the HVAC company. The app I had on my phone didn’t work with my new smart thermostat. I told them to send the same HVAC technician that had originally done the installation. He was too busy flirting with my daughter, that he had messed up the program.
