This is my time of year when it comes to the Heating & A/C

It’s so good not to dread this time of year any longer, when we lived up north, at least Christmas was a bit of a distraction from all the cold, but once we passed the holiday season, the snow, ice plus brutally low temperatures could not be ignored, but thankfully, the house we lived in had genuinely great Heating & A/C equipment.

The gas furnace did a good job all the way up until we genuinely decided to move. So we upgraded the gas furnace prior to putting the house on the market. The people I was with and I were able to put our house on the market because I was provided early retirement. The corporation decided that it needed to downsize plus break salaries. That meant I was in line to cash in on my retirement system with entirely little penalty. But it still wasn’t straight-forward leaving the zone controlled Heating & A/C of that office… I had spent all of my career inside that commercial Heating & A/C. But it was definitely worth it given the fact that I was gifted nearly a decade of extra retirement. Once we sold the house, we set out for the south where there would be no need for a gas furnace. I can do without a white Christmas plus all that stuff. I can do without all of that because I so like the fact that Winter time comes with appealing weather down here. While we may get a freezing snap here plus there, the heat pump pretty much stays dormant through the winter. But of course, the other side of that coin is the fact that we need air conditioner for up to 8 months a year. Still, I’d rather deal with the heat of summer time than the deep freezing of a northern winter.
