It’s so funny how just some authenticity, appreciation and an update or numerous can turn around an entire group of people, and this is what I’m currently experiencing in our office.
I’ve been with the supplier for nearly 15 years.
That means I’ve seen plenty of upper management come and go. So when this latest set of supervisors got the boot, I was easily expecting the status quo to remain inside the commercial heating, ventilation, and A/C of that office. It seemed as if my pal and I were just recycling the same lame leadership over and over again. But man, did I get a surprise with this newer supervisor. She’s only been with the supplier a short while and she is not all that old either. I am guessing that she is not even in her mid thirties. But wow, what a natural leader this woman is, and it started the first month she got there. Immediately, she began to bring each and every 1 of us into a conference room to get to know us personally and option our brains. This was easily genuinely a first as no other leadership team had even reached out for our collective input. And this was not for show either. The actual next week, not only were there clear official operating procedures in place however there was a new positive vibe. She was appreciative of our effort and even went so far as to update the commercial heating, ventilation, and A/C; my associate and I now have zone controlled heating, ventilation, and A/C for our office so people can group together based on their own central heating and cooling needs. It’s stuff akin to this that actually makes a difference because it’s real. The entire morale has changed and my pal and I are now more accountable to 1 another as well.
