When I was home hunting, I saw a lot of houses that were too dark and would need extra lighting. I felt like iI was in a mausoleum, the a single home was so dark, even with all the oddities of the houses, there was a single that stood out in our mind, and I will never forget. This home had so much lighting that it was blinding. The owners had recessed lighting along the walls, which was genuinely nice, but there were chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, sconce lights in the doorways and extra lighting over all the fixtures. I liked a lot of lighting over our study room counters, but there was so much lighting that I had to wear sunglasses duringside the house. I looked at our fiance and asked how much lighting does a single home need? This may have been nice if they had little natural light, but there was natural lighting coming from the skylights in every room, and there were windows everywhere. This home must have been an electrician’s dream come true. The light bulbs alone would cost a fortune to substitute. I asked why they were selling the house, and the man told myself and others they were getting older. They had no grandyoungsters that visited, and he could not take care of the house, however when he told myself and others his fiance was an electrician, it was straight-forward to understand why there was so much lighting in the home. As an electrician, he had to keep busy, even if he was retired, and both of us didn’t buy the house, but it was worth the experience just to go see it.
