She brought one of her business cards with her
Moving into a new part has constantly been a hard thing for me. I don’t get along well people, because I am undoubtedly shy. I was considering talking to one of my neighbors to see where was the best venue to shop, and who do I call for Heating, Ventilation & A/C service. It seemed like whenever I stopped in front of a household where there were people outside, they would get up and go inside. I was in tears one afternoon, because my Heating, Ventilation & A/C system wasn’t working. I wasn’t who I could call to get the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system checked, and I still hadn’t talked to anyone in the town. I worked from home, since I was a writer, so there was no one to interface with. I called my sister and told her I was lonely and still hadn’t met anyone in the town, then four hours later, my sister was knocking on my door. She drove three hundred miles to come and save me. She took me outside and we walked up and down the sidewalk. She smiled a couple of people and stopped to talk to them. The one man smiled and said it was nice to meet us. She told him I had lived there two months, and it surprised him. The next afternoon, I had numerous people stopping by to welcome me into the town, then one woman told me that if I needed a great Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer, her child worked for the local Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer. She brought one of her business cards with her. My sister spent three afternoons with me and read over my newest manuscript. She said it was my best labor yet, and told me it was time for her to go home.
