We hate it when June comes around and everyone we know retreat and stays inside the central cooling unit of their bungalows. But that’s what happens when Summer comes. It gets too hot and they just stay inside with the cooling unit pumping. We spend the peak heating hours of the day inside the commercial Heating and Air Conditioning of our office where it’s chilly. At the bungalow, we are a bit more reserved when it comes to Summer thermostat settings. Actually, we program the thermostat so it stays near or just above 74 when it’s too hot. But as we are coming home, the cooling unit will crank up just a bit. Once we are home, the cooling creeps down just the least bit more so we are sleeping at a comfortable 68 degrees in the bungalow. So we totally need a cooling unit just like almost everyone else. While that’s accurate, we just don’t allow ourselves to be captive to the cooling unit for four months straight. That’s why we get up well before dawn each morning to love some time outside prior to heading off to the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of the office. And then, in the evening, we slip back out to love the cooler evenings. We just hate the fact that so many folks are missing out on all this part has to offer during our Summer. For sure, it’s crucial to be inside some cooling comfort during the peak heating hours, however getting out of the central cooling unit during the cooler parts of the day is also beneficial.
