My Grandma asked me to cabin rest for her a couple of weeks ago. I told her that I would do it, but to be honest, I was not looking forward to it. I love her house. It is an old Victorian genre house, and it is super particular . I wisht that my cabin had some of those old features about it. The reason that I was not looking forward to it was because my Grandma keeps her cabin undoubtedly warm. When I say warm, I mean like eighty-five degrees. I can only imagine how much it cost to keep her cabin that warm because it is immense. I was so glad to get there and find that she had turned the heat down a little bit. It was around seventy-five degrees in the house, but her family room was still around eighty-five degrees. She had asked me not to change the temperature in her family room because the dog is used to that temperature, however she also asked me to make sure that I sleep in there with her cat, however let me just say that it was the most miserable few weeks of my life. I ended up sleeping downstairs on the couch for the last weekbecause I had had enough. I was not going to keep losing sleep just for her dog to feel more comfortable. I never told her that I didn’t sleep in there for the last week, and I don’t assume that I ever will. I cannot think that she can sleep in an eighty-five degree room. I was tempted to turn the temperature control down to seventy and see what she would say, but I decided that was undoubtedly a bad idea.
