Since we are having a new baby next month, we are going to have to get a new air conditioner for the house. I keep telling my husband that we need to get a move on with the air conditioning project, but he is just taking his own sweet time with it for some reason. I really feel like he should hurry it up because our last child came a little bit early and this one could too! I already told him that if I have this baby and he doesn’t have the air conditioning system fixed in the house yet, I am staying at the hospital until he gets it installed. There is just no way that I’m going to have a new baby during this summer without an air conditioning system in the house. I just can’t do it. Babies are so hot to begin with, and then after you just have had one, you feel all sweaty and you’re covered in milk and spit up all the time, too. Not having a working central air conditioning system is just not something that I’m willing to deal with along with everything else that comes along with a newborn! I just don’t think that it’s too much to ask because I have been telling him to get it done for the past 8 months now. It’s not my fault that he has put it off for so long. Honestly, if he doesn’t get it done soon, I’m going to call the HVAC company and make an appointment to have it done myself.
I won a trivia contest with my knowledge of HVAC systems
I was able to win a trivia contest with my knowledge of HVAC systems last week and she was so impressed.
I usually don’t know the answers to many of the questions, but this time I stole the show.
It’s funny because no one else in the entire bar on trivia night knew the answer to this particular question. I have to admit that I was surprised whenever they announced that one of the categories of trivia was going to be about heating and cooling systems. That just happened to be the right night for me to be there because I know everything that there is to know about heating and cooling. I grew up with a family who owned heating and cooling businesses here in town, and I even went to work as a heating and cooling technician when I got out of high school. The question was fairly simple, but I was the only one who seemed to know the answer. Whenever I buzzed in and answered the HVAC question correctly, everyone in the bar cheered and I felt like the smartest person alive! I mean, I guess I take it for granted that everyone knows about HVAC systems the same way that I do, but I guess I was proven wrong that night because nobody but me knew a thing about HVAC systems except for me. We ended up winning the trivia game that night because I got that question right! My friend was so excited about it that she ended up buying me drinks for the rest of the night.

Residential Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C hasn’t been around forever
When I came household this week, the a/c was running.
That’s the first time I’ve walked into the household with the a/c going after work. Actually, that’s not too terrible considering most of my neighbors have had the a/c going since mid March. But that sort of goes with territory down here. While you don’t hear the heat pump much during the Winter, I can barely walk out of my household separate from hearing at least one heat pump. I’m sure glad that I don’t have to pay those sorts of cost when it comes to cooling my house. In our home, my pal and I are all native to this region plus our families go way back. So my pal and I were sort of indoctrinated to the fact that you have to do your part when it comes to dealing with the heat. It can’t all be on the heat pump. That’s why my pal and I don’t use the a/c much until Summer, but once June rolls around, we’re undoubtedly going to get our fill of cooling comfort. But until then, my pal and I like to do separate from a/c as much as possible. This allows our bodies to adjust so my pal and I need less a/c demand as the Summer heats up. My Mom grew up separate from central a/c. In fact, there was no residential Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C in his household at all. This is something that all the people forget. There were people here long before there was a heat pump! However, the heat pump sure has made it easier for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to endure the heat, and even though I’m a native of the region, I don’t suppose I want to do separate from my residential Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C thank you.
