When you do not keep up with things you could end up paying dearly for it. This was my lesson learned when it came to my central heating and air conditioning system. I had not had my ductwork cleaned in about 2 years and this was the biggest mistake I could have made. Because by not getting my ductwork cleaned in almost 2 years, it caused the central heating and air conditioning system to work overtime and then it ended up breaking down to the point where you could not even do any kind of HVAC repair to save it. That cost me several thousand dollars to then be forced to get a brand new, up to date, very expensive but pretty powerful central heating and air conditioning system. Ever since I had to buy this very expensive new heating and cooling system I made a promise to myself that I would get my ductwork cleaned once every 6 months. That is twice a year. It could be more than enough as once a year is what I used to do. But I want to be on the safe side because I never want to have my central heating and air conditioning system die on me again like that to where I have to invest in a totally brand new central heat and a/c unit. That was an expensive thing I did not need to pop up! Had I cleaned my ductwork, it would have never happened. A pricey lesson I learned that time let me tell you!

It really is its own world
Heat and a/c is something that stands alone from anything else.
When it comes to everything and anything about heating and air conditioning it really is a world of its own.
The way the technology constantly keeps changing in the world of heating and air conditioning is mind blowing. You never know from day to day what is going to be and if there is going to be some major huge breakthrough that could give us the next best thing since the creation of the central heating and air conditioning system itself. I still remember when I first heard about radiant heated floors it really blew me away. I could not believe that you could actually heat your home from the floor and that it was mostly ran on hot water pipes. That was a concept that I could have never imagined would become a reality. I actually ended up investing my money into radiant heated floors when I heard about them and had a chance to see and feel an example of them at an HVAC dealership who was showing them off. I was sold right away once I seen what they were and could do. This is just a prime example of how heating and air conditioning is really its own world apart from anything else out there. I could tell you my thoughts on this for hours, but I do not want to bore you with the details nor do I feel like writing a book. And that is how much I have to say!
The long hallway
I remember when I lived in this one house some years ago it had this huge long hallway.
This was upstairs and it divided the bedrooms.
One of the major things I will never forget about the long hallway was the fact that the air flow from the central heating and air conditioning system was very weak in that part of the house. It really made it too hot or too cold depending on the time of the year. Back in those days there was no such thing as a zoned heating and air conditioning system or HVAC zone control concept. There was really no way to attack the issue. So trying to sleep at night could be quite a challenge when the weather was bad. The bad air flow from the hallway would in turn make the bedrooms also not have the greatest air flow. I was so glad to move out of that house when the time came. Today because of that experience back when I ended up buying a zoned heating and air conditioning system for my home. Not because I have any air flow problems, but just in the event somehow or someway in the future this house has the same issue as it gets older. The zoned heating and air conditioning system was expensive, but it makes me feel good and gives me true piece of mind to know that the HVAC zone control will always be there if it is ever needed later on in the future.
A flipped switch fixed
it When my central heating and air conditioning system went out last it was really horrible because I made a fool of myself.
I called the local heating and air conditioning company for them to send out a certified heat and a/c specialist to repair my central heating and cooling unit.
Well when they got here it turned out that all that was wrong was a fuse had blown! I simply could not believe it! Really! A fuse? That is something I could have taken care of myself in a matter of a few minutes or less. And that is exactly what it took the heating and air conditioning specialist to just flip that switch. I could have flipped that switch to reset the fuse and heck, even my 10 year old son could have as well! And I got charged two hundred and seventy five dollars for them coming out to my home for a total of 5 minutes to flip the switch on the fuse box. That is a major embarrassment and a total waste of major cash on nothing. I will in the future have to troubleshoot any heating and air conditioning system issues I may have before running to the phone to call the local heat and a/c company to send out a certified heating and cooling specialist. I bet they love it when things like this happen. Easy money that they can laugh their tails off about to their friends, co-workers and family. I’m sure I was the major joke of the day the day that this happened!
Ready for it this time
Last year when monsoon season hit us here in the southwest I was not really prepared for it.
And believe me, I suffered big time.
But this year I am ready! This is because I bought a whole home air purification system to go into my central heating and air conditioning system. I had needed a whole home air purification for the monsoon time of the year for a while but as you may know, whole home air purification systems cost a lot of money. So it was a matter of finding a dealership that set up monthly payment plans to be able to purchase the whole home air purification system, which I finally have done. Now that I have my whole home air purification system when the monsoon hits all that bad air quality will not be messing me up with my allergies and I will be able to breathe easy. Last year I had a heck of a time. Even the portable air purification system I have did not help and was no match for the bad air quality that was going on. But the whole home air purification system will be the total and complete answer to win the battle this year. Nothing will be able to stop my home from having clean and great air quality while the rest is absolutely horrid air quality outside. They really should price whole home air purification systems down cheaper than they have them now so more people can afford them. But that’s just business I guess.
