I think I can get everything done by early afternoon so that I can join my friends for a day at the beach

I’m going to do some Spring cleaning today as it is nearing the middle of April and I haven’t done so yet. I am going to replace the HEPA filter in my HVAC system today because it is old and starting to fall apart. I am also going to vacuum and mop all of the floors today with my robot vacuum cleaner. Okay, it’s not me doing the work but I do have to attach the wet mop onto the robot and clean the robot after it has done the work for me. I would like to get one of those washable HEPA filters because they are a lot better on the environment and easy to clean. I think they sell them at the store down the road but I will have to go by there in person to find out. The local business is usually open from nine in the morning until five in the afternoon but today is some kind of a holiday and they are going to be closing early from what I’ve heard. I think I will take a cold swim before cleaning to wake me up so that I have enough energy to complete the task. I just need to wait for the robot to finish the floors and then I’ll clean its HEPA filter and empty out its dust bin and then get started with the rest of the work. I think I can get everything done by early afternoon so that I can join my friends for a day at the beach. It’s a sunny one today.

I usually take my cold plunge into the Mediterranean Sea around 930am each morning.

The air is still quite crisp at this time of the day but it really wakes me up and charges me for the day.

I come home right after the dip to jump in the hot water in my bathtub with the space heater right next to me heating the bathroom to a sauna-like temperature. I stay in the hot water for about 30 minutes and then follow it with a cold water rinse to jolt me awake once again. Give it a try sometime if you have any pain or want to wake up quickly. Cold and hot therapy is great for the body and if you have a good HVAC system to keep your house warm you can just take a cold shower and once you dry off you will warm up again quickly. I like the sea because of its healing properties, and just being around nature makes me feel better. I need to run my whole home air purifier today because I have a lot of flem in my throat from the dust and will start sneezing a lot if I don’t remove the dust from the air in my flat. I usually run it a few times a week to clear the air along with my HEPA filter vacuum cleaner robot taking care of all of the dust on the floor. It’s an OKP Life Robot vacuum cleaner and it works very well considering it is one of the cheapest models.

 

The Ice Cold Sea is Calling to Cool Me Down

My buddies are going to play beach volleyball, two on two, and invited me to come and play.

• I am working on my central heating unit right now and hopefully I can get it done by this afternoon and go out and play some ball.

I was playing drums last night and my hands are pretty sore but I will somehow manage to play later if I have the time. My HVAC system is dirty and needs to be cleaned today so I need to get that done first before I can go and play. Today is Friday and the beach is going to be full of tourists because we finally have some nice weather after about six months of cold. I just want to make sure my air conditioner is working and my heater is fixed because I’ll be needing to cool my flat down pretty soon. I used to live in places with no climate control and this is why I like to really take care of my system so that I don’t have to go through that kind of discomfort ever again. I pay a lot in rent but am making enough money to afford it so why not. I’d rather live in comfort and work a bit more than suffer all day in the heat when summer hits. It only takes me about two hours to clean the HVAC system so it’s not a big deal. I’ve been doing it myself for years and am getting pretty proficient with the whole process. I see beach volleyball in my future today.

My hands are sore today from drumming my djembe last night for three hours. Today I am going to soak them in the cold sea and then warm them next to my radiant space heater for a while. This cold then hot cycling really helps the body recover from joint pain and swelling. I like to run my hot water heater on the hotter side because I fill my bathtub with hot water to soak my whole body after doing my cold dip. I then put this cold gel called Biofreeze on my sore joints to cool them down again, followed by warming them up again using my cold laser, which actually heats up the joints. The radiant heater helps a lot because it heats the body quickly, kind of like the sun would, without having to sit in front of the central heating vent located near my ceiling. I’ve been doing this heat therapy for years for any kind of muscle or joint pain and it works great. Today I plan on digging into my HVAC system in my bathroom, where the air handler is kept, and cleaning out the HEPA filter and condenser grill. It’s up in the ceiling in my bathroom so it is not very easy to access but I have to do it or I will be sneezing all day. The HVAC techs didn’t have any other place they could put the air handler except for up in the bathroom ceiling because my flat is so small. It is fine with me though because I don’t hear it when it is running.

All I have to do today is make a phone call to the states to check on my rental car and then the rest of the day is free for me. I’m sitting by my air purifier listening to it hum as I write. I just cleaned it the other day and wow was it sure dirty. It had a whole bunch of dust that collected on the HEPA filter and was making a funny noise a bit because it was so clogged up. I normally clean it every month but I guess I forgot the past few months because of the pet cat I had for a little while. The HEPA filter had a bunch of black cat hair in it along with a lot of dust. I had to return the cat though because it kept attacking me when I got near it, no more angry black cats for me. The HVAC rep at the local business has a cat that is going to have kittens any day now and he said that I can have a kitten once they are three months old and ready to be on their own. I can’t wait because I love cats, I just want one that I can pet without fearing for my life. I’ll keep the air purifier clean this time when I have a cat by putting it on my iPad schedule so it doesn’t get so dirty like before. I don’t think most cats shed that much hair though, the black cat was just a bit nervous and shed more.
