My husband is thinking about putting an addition onto the house.

We have talked about putting extra rooms onto our house for a while now.

But now that I am pregnant with twins, I think that time is of the essence. We really have to go ahead and get the addition put on before the kids get here. We are going to need a lot of extra space after that, and I know by that point we will not really want to spend any time on remodeling and renovations. We already have the plans drawn up, and we have already met with a general contractor. Right now, the only holdup that we are experiencing with the addition is the fact that we don’t really know what to do about the heating and cooling system. See, right now we have a high efficiency heating and cooling system that takes care of our whole entire house. However, if we add an additional square footage to the existing space, we aren’t sure if the HVAC system is going to be able to cover it. The general contractor seems to think that it will be okay without an additional HVAC system, but I really don’t want to have two new babies in the house and then be too cold in the winter or too hot in the summer. I think I’m actually going to call a local HVAC contractor to see what they say about the project. Maybe we can have zone control heating and cooling installed or maybe everything will be just fine the way that it is.

Winter has been way too cold this year for my taste.

I’m really not the kind of person who enjoys the winter weather.

When the temperature gets down below 50 degrees or so, I just get in a bad mood and start wishing for the sun. I guess that means I’m probably living in the wrong part of the country. It gets really cold here, and the temperatures are routinely in the teens and even in the single digits during the winter. This year, it has been even colder than normal! People around here have really been having a hard time keeping their homes warm enough for the weather. If you don’t have good insulation or a great heating system, then you have been in real trouble around here this year. I know that the heating and cooling companies here in town have been having a hard time keeping up with demand because homeowners have been over using their gas furnaces and electric furnaces this year. Parts have been wearing out, and therefore HVAC technicians have been going out on call to get furnaces fixed up so people won’t be freezing to death! At least most of the people around here have some sort of backup heating system in their home just in case their furnace stops working. We have a wood burning fireplace in our house. Of course, that’s not going to get us through the whole entire winter, but if our furnace goes out then at least we will have some source of heating to use till we get it fixed.

I really like to get a good deal on things around the house, especially when I need to get something repaired. I’m just one of those people who is pretty cheap when it comes to getting things fixed or repaired. A lot of the time, I will leave something broken just so I don’t have to pay to get it fixed. I know that that’s not the most responsible way to be, especially when you are a homeowner who has a lot of things around the house that need to be fixed. If you let things get away from you, then they are just going to add up and you’re going to end up living in a ramshackle place. Of course, that is not what I want to have happen and so once in a while I have to call a repairman and have them come out and fix things for me. I still like getting good deals on things though. A few weeks ago, I decided that I was going to have my HVAC technician come out and fix the heating and cooling repairs that I had been putting off for a while. I guess I happened to call the HVAC company at just the right time, because the person on the phone told me that they were running a heating and cooling tuneup special. I was thrilled to find that out, because I had really wanted to get a good deal on getting everything fixed up. I guess once in a while the universe gives you something that you actually want! Now, my HVAC system is all tuned up and ready to go. Hopefully the weather will start heating up soon and I can try out my newly repaired air conditioning system.

Even though it’s been freezing cold for the past three weeks now, my kids have still all been begging me to go to the zoo.

I keep telling them that I think that the temperature outside is just too cold for us to go to the zoo, but they all keep begging me.

If you have a lot of kids, then you know how it is when they all gang up on you and try to ask you to do something that you don’t really want to do. I really feel like I am just sick of hearing about it and usually I cave in and do whatever it is that they want. I’m thinking about actually taking him to the zoo later on this week, even though the temperature is supposed to be in the 20s most of the week. We also have a lot of wind around here so it’s going to feel even colder than that if we go there. The really bad thing about going to the zoo in the winter is the fact that they don’t have very many places where you can go to get warmed up. If you go inside of some of the exhibits, of course they have furnaces running in there for the animals. But other than that, if you’re walking around outside, there are only a few areas where you can stand by a portable heating unit to warm your hands up. I guess we are just going to have to get bundled up and run our heating system in the car all the way there. Hopefully, we won’t get too cold and we will be able to stand it for a few hours.

One of our familiar clients called the Heating, Ventilation and A/C repair center on Sunday, because she didn’t have any heat in the home and she said there was a weird smell coming from the ductwork.

When a buyer has a gas heating system, our first thought is always going to be a gas leak when a buyer says that they smell something strange.

We urged the buyer to get out of the home or call the fire department. She turned off the heating and air conditioner idea and the warm water heater. I arrived at the property a couple hours after the buyer advocated help with the heating system. I evaluated their idea and inspected all of the familiar locales where problems occur. As soon as I unfastend the heating system air filter, I realized that’s where the smell was coming from. The heating system filter was covered with animal hair. I asked the lady if she had a animal and she told me that she was pet resting for a neighbor while in the last more than one weeks. I showed the person all of the animal hair that had accumulated on the heating system filter. She was horrified and disgusted, but it truly wasn’t that bad. I have seen a lot worse in a number of homes and apartments. I proposed increasing the heating system filter more frequently, because there was also a buildup of dust and other allergens on the air filter. I only charged a minimum service fee since there truly wasn’t a concern that needed to be repaired. It’s always nice to build great buyer relations with our familiar clients.
