When I was twenty 2 years old, I started at the commercial carpet cleaning corporation.

I didn’t suppose much about how carpet cleaning worked at the time, however the task paid well.

If I moved hastily throughout the afternoon, I could certainly bring home $1,000 or more every week. When I was 21, that was a heap of currency. I would hang out at the bar with our friends and buy drinks for almost everyone. I was certainly working my butt off Monday through Thursday, although I was get-togethering equally as hard on the weekends. After an entire year of working for the carpet cleaning corporation, I was promoted to a management role. I then gained much more info about the carpet cleaning chemicals when I had to purchase them for the store. I developed a magic formula that gets rid of carpet stains. The magic formula works the best on dark red and purple stains. Red stains are a carpet cleaner’s worst nightmare. It is almost impossible to get rid of dark red and purple stains, although I found a way to get rid of them forever. As soon as I perfected the cleaning formula, I decided to start a commercial cleaning corporation of our own. I presented our corporation as the only place with the magic stain formula. After a few months in business, I had more clients than I could handle. Now I have a multimillion-dollar carpet cleaning biz and all of us handle a variety of other household chores as well. The biz offers carpet, tile, and hardwood restoration. All of us offer commercial and residential painting, cleaning, and home service as well. I barely job much at all now that I have dozens of employees.

A residential client hired our corporation to complete renovations on their home.

I was pretty stoked to start this task and get it out of the way.

It was the last big contract before the end of the warm and sunny season. All six of us were completely remodeling all of the flooring in their warm season home. All six of us on the crew needed to finish with the project before the end of the season. They wanted us to get rid of the aged tile, carpet, and hardwood. All of us had over 2500 square feet of flooring to replace. I ordered all of the supplies from the same commercial distributor. All the materials were supposed to arrive at the same time. I planned to install the tile and the carpet in a single afternoon, and the next afternoon I was planning to install the grout and then the hardwood. I had everything planned out perfectly so I could finish ahead of schedule and impress this new client! Unfortunately, the tile arrived multiple nights later than the grout and the carpet. The new client wasn’t genuinely glad when I had to call and postpone the task. The new client had expected myself and others to finish by Thursday the 7th, although I did not complete the work order until the following Thursday the 14th. I had to provide the client a pretty big discount, although I talked to the tile distributor and complained to them about the delay. I told them that it cost myself and others over $300 and they took the cost off of the total bill for the tile, grout, carpet, and hardwood flooring. I hope that this issue does not recur or I might have to look for a current flooring manufacturer.

My son Bob wanted a special shindig for his birthday last year.

He was turning ten and he told myself and my wife that he thought it was going to be the last birthday gathering that he could enjoy plus have fun.

He told myself and others he wanted a clown for his birthday. Since Bob’s birthday was later in the Springtime, his gathering almost didn’t happen. The pandemic was at an all-time high, plus people were asked to stay home. Only a few companies were open because everyone was either sick, or not allowed to leave their homes. Bob was devastated that he couldn’t have a birthday gathering or go to Chuck E Cheese with his best friends. He dramatically stomped his foot plus said he would be as old as daddy before he was able to get out of the home again. Two afternoons before Bob’s birthday, some of the local pizzerias were reopening, but they were finally offering food delivery service, plus not in-home dining. I called Chuck E Cheese plus asked if they had meal delivery services. They said they were going to have no-contact meal deliveries starting on the weekend, which had myself and others cheerful. It was amazing timing to have a small intimate gathering for our son. My parents lived next door to us, plus had also been self-quarantining. Both of us took all of our gifts to the backyard plus kept our social distance, while still having a birthday gathering. About halfway through the gathering, the meal delivery driver showed up to supply the pizzas plus the popcorn every one of us had ordered from Chuck E Cheese. Bob was laughing so hard that he said he was going to pee his pants, when a mouse stepped out of the car.

After our Grandma Helen turned ninety, she was still living on her own, but no 1 was comfortable with it.

Everyone thought Grandma Helen needed to be living with 1 of us, or in an assisted living group home.

Helen didn’t agree that she needed to do either 1 of them. The only thing that upset myself and others was that Grandma Helen had the worst arthritis in her fingers. There were some afternoons when she could barely put on her clothes because of the intense pain. I had observed Helen had been losing weight, plus I upset it was because Helen wasn’t eating properly. I said something to mom about her not being able to open up cans, jars, or even the refrigerator some afternoons. I told mom that it may be a smart idea to hook up with senior services plus check into meal delivery services for the elderly. The person mom talked to said they had multiple unusual meal delivery services. They used Meals on Wheels, which delivered most afternoons, but only 1 meal. They also had 2 other local services. The local meal delivery repair cooked up full meals. They pre-packaged 7 full days of meals. There were more than two meals a day, plus even a snack. Most People who acquired this meal delivery service, couldn’t believe they didn’t ever need to buy butter or salt plus pepper. Everything, right down to the napkin plus plastic sporks, was in the box. Meal delivery services for the elderly in our area were far more than every one of us ever imagined. Grandma Helen didn’t complain when every one of us told her about the meal delivery service, plus deeply thanked mom for helping her out.

There is something going on with my furnace system.

For some reason, it’s been so loud for the past week that I can’t even get any work done when I’m at home.

This is definitely not a good thing, since I have been working from home for the past few months now. I have never had this kind of problem with my furnace before. It used to run very quietly and it would not be a distraction at all when I was trying to work. However, for the past week, every single time the heating system kicks on, it makes a weird roaring sound followed by a bunch of loud ticking noises that won’t stop for the entire time that the heating system is going through its cycle. If it wasn’t so cold outside, I think I would just turn the whole thing off and use an electric space heater instead. However, it’s been really cold for the past couple of weeks and the weather is really not cooperating. The temperature outside yesterday was only 19 degrees, and that’s pretty cold for around here! I know that I have to keep running my electric furnace so that the house will stay warm enough for me and the kids and the cat, but I just can’t stand this annoying ticking sound for very much longer. It’s not like I can take time off from my job until I get the furnace fixed. I don’t really know what to do. I guess today I will call up the local heating and cooling company and make an appointment for them to come out to look at the furnace. I can’t afford to lose my job over this!
