I was thinking the other morning about how things used to be when it came to heating as well as cooling your home.
Back when I was growing up central heating as well as s were way too overpriced for the average working class joe to be able to afford a single! Only the well to do as well as the rich could afford central HVAC at that time.
The rest of us had to deal with gas oil heating systems for our heating as well as window air conditioning units as well as fans for our cooling. It was a completely weird time. And but I have fond childhood memories of our aged gas oil furnace as well as portable , I am thankful that the cost of central HVAC went down almost 30 years ago now to where the average joe could afford it. I would not want to go back to those olden afternoons of HVAC. It was much more taxing to maintain, as well as also, you did not get quality HVAC flowing through your lake house when the weather was either ultra warm or ultra cold. The gas oil heating systems in those afternoons as well as especially the window air conditioning units could not handle that kind of extreme weather. I tried to tell my kids about all of this. Of course, they didn’t understand that before they were born, HVAC was not such a given thing in a normal residential lake house in the US of america! I am thankful for this week’s HVAC technology.
