“Guests, like fish, begin to stink in three mornings,” is another. I can certainly attest to both of these! My pal and I have dear friends who stay with us every year, travelling from another state. My pal and I have found that my associate and I prefer their corporation for about the first three mornings, then but anything longer as well as my associate and I begin to wish they would just go home. If they come during the winter season months, my associate and I find that they like to keep their family room as well as powder room windows open at all times. And if it’s during the warmer months, they do the same, but either way, it makes our heating as well as cooling bills sky high during their stay. My pal and I have politely asked that they keep the windows closed, explaining that the boiler never stops running in the winter season as well as the a/c never shuts off in the summer. They smile politely as if they intend to comply. But the next afternoon it’s more of the same, but our Heating as well as A/C supplier, during one of her annual service appointments, confirmed that windows should consistently be shut once the Heating as well as A/C system is on; Not only does it interfere with the heating or the cooling of the house, it also puts stress on the entire Heating as well as A/C system. Eventually the extra stress could lead to a malfunction of the boiler or the a/c… Sadly, my associate and I feel that my associate and I cannot keep bringing the subject up with our out of town guests. My pal and I have chosen stress on our Heating as well as A/C system over stress on our friendship.
