I don’t know what has been going on with our thermostat lately, but I think that it must be broken.
- It may be the furnace that is not working properly, but both my husband and I think that it is the thermostat.
We have it set to seventy degrees, but the house seems to stay at about sixty degrees. The furnace seems to kick on and off just fine, so that is why we think it is probably the thermostat and not the furnace. My husband has been really busy lately, so he has not had a lot of time to figure out the issue. He told me that I could go ahead and call a professional, so i did. I called a local HVAC company, and they said that they could have someone come out tomorrow and check it out. I really hope that it is the thermostat and not the furnace because I think it would be a lot cheaper to fix a thermostat than it would be to fix a furnace, but I could be wrong. I am a little nervous to hear how much it will cost to fix either of them. Last time we had and HVAC company come over and fix our air conditioner, it ended up costing us almost a thousand dollars. Needless to say, we were not very happy with how expensive it was. I really hope that whatever is wrong this time does not cost that much to fix. I wish that my husband had more time off of work because he worked for an HVAC company for a few years, and I bet he could figure out the issue and fix it.
