I made the mistake of attempting my hand at leak detection and service in my powder room, the pipe sprung a leak when I was cutting some tile and it was going into the house below me. The water was accruing so fast that it scared me, then i did manage to locate the pipe and I taped around it for a quick fix. I realized that I did not have the skills to service the pipe though. I got on the iPhone and called for an emergency plumbing service to resolve the issue ASAP. I needed someone who would come instantaneously and get my water where it was supposed to be. The woman was great… She arrived on time, with her tools, and left no mess behind. She resolved that pipe service in a matter of minutes. It made me feel deranged that I had hours to mess with it and couldn’t get it done. This woman had no time at all on the job and resolved it swiftly. I also wasn’t thrilled that I was in the middle of the project and had to pay on a plumbing repair. I live in an house and I had to pay for someone else’s rental. However, I knew I couldn’t call my property owner to tell him I was changing the flooring and I also made a mess in her unit; Doing some minor aesthetic fluctuations is one thing, but changing the plumbing is a whole other thing altogether. Plumbing repairs should always be left to the professionals in a humble opinion.
