The hotel in the A/C room where I stayed last weekend really left a lot to be desired.

The stupid A/C system would not stay on for more than a couple of hours at a time.

I really couldn’t understand why In the world the people who own this hotel thought that it was a good idea to put in this kind of cooling system in all of the rooms. To me, it just seems like one more annoyance to the hotel guests, kind of like people being loud in the next room over or kids running through the halls in the rooms above you. Except, for me, this was even more annoying. I like to keep my room really cold when I am sleeping in a hotel. I always turn the thermostat way down and snuggle under the covers in the freezing cold room. However, this was not possible at all in this particular room because every two hours, the air conditioning system would completely turn off. In a room as small as this one with large windows in it, the temperature would start going up almost immediately. It was driving me crazy and I couldn’t figure out why in the world someone would do that. Anyway, it got on my nerves and I kept trying to figure out some way to keep the A/C on while I was sleeping. There was no way to rig it up, though, since it was a digital thermostat. I did not get a good night’s sleep at all and I refuse to ever stay in a hotel like that again.

I feel like I was caught outside sunbathing in the nude.

For sure, if I was the HOA or anybody else, that would be a cause for concern.

But the fact is my fault is far less intense than naked people in the yard. No, my fault revealed that I have an HVAC component next to my home. There is some archaic rule the HOA says I’m going against because my HVAC equipment can be seen from the street. Now, they’d have to be at the ideal angle on the street to see my HVAC equipment, but it seems they did. But the fault is also quite temporary in nature as well. This all started when my kids asked if they could make some cash this past Summer. And if my children want to work instead of sitting inside the central a/c of the bungalow all day, that fills me with joy. They’ve always helped me with the grass so they were pretty well acquainted with the tools. But my kids hadn’t worked with a hedge trimmer. So we practiced on our hedge. Just so happens in our practice, my kids went down a few inches. Of course, it’s not so short that it destroyed the hedge. That thing can’t be destroyed. However, it’s going to be some time before the HVAC component is blocked from sight again by the hedge. I just hope the HOA can see reason and stop threatening me because of this minor infraction.

Joe doesn’t sit outside sunbathing without clothes on. For sure, if he was the HOA or anybody else, Joe would never want to see that from the street. But the problem is far less intense than some naked person in the yard. No, Joe’s problem revealed that he has a Heating & Air Conditioning unit next to his home. His HOA informed him he was going against some law because his Heating & Air Conditioning unit is visible from the street. Now, folks from the HOA would have to be at the perfect angle on the street to see his Heating & Air Conditioning equipment, but it seems they did. Still, the situation won’t last forever. This all started when Joe’s daughter wanted to make some money this past summer. And if his child wants to get out and hustle instead of lazing around in the central air conditioner of the lake house, Joe was all for that. Joe’s daughter has always helped him with the hedge so she was pretty well acquainted with that stuff. But his daughter hadn’t ever used a hedge trimmer. So Joe let her practise on their hedge. Just so happens in her practicing, Joe’s daughter cut it down a bit short. Of course, it’s not so short that it destroys the hedge. That thing is just about indestructible. However, it’s going to be about a month or so before the Heating & Air Conditioning device is plugged from sight again by the hedge. And Joe is doing his best to help the HOA be reasonable instead of all these fines.

Now, someone must be at the perfect angle on the street to catch even a glimpse of the Heating & A/C equipment, but they can. Fortunately, this issue is quite temporary in nature as well. See, our child wanted to make some money this past summer. And if our kid wants to get out and work instead of being inside with the central cooling unit of the house all afternoon, we support that. He’s always helped us with the grass so we were pretty sure he’d do great. The only issue was he was new to hedge trimming. So we let him practice on our private hedge. Just so happens in his practicing, he trimmed the hedge a few inches short. Of course, it’s not so short that it endangers the hedge since we have the best. However, it’s going to require time for the Heating & A/C equipment to be blocked from sight again by the hedge. And we’re doing our best to help the HOA be supportive instead of all these threats of fines and the like.

There’s some obscure rule the HOA says Tracy is wrong because her HVAC component can be seen from the street. Now, folks would have to be at the perfect angle on the street to catch even a glimpse of the HVAC equipment. Still, it’s possible. But the situation won’t last forever. This all started when Tracy’s kid wanted to make some money this past summer. And if her kid wants to get out and hustle instead of sitting inside the central AC of their home all day, Tracy is in.
