If there’s one thing I love, it’s any opportunity to save some money.

So when I saw that my local heating and cooling business was having discounts on their HVAC services I figured now would be the best time to have my heating and AC unit serviced.

I know some people that service their heating and air conditioning systems every 6 months, for me, I’m lucky if I do it once a year. Sure, maybe I don’t do it as often as I should but I haven’t had any issues with my heating and AC system. However, knowing that my heating and air conditioning system is overdue for some maintenance and tune up, I figured now I’ll be the best time to act on that discount and have my heating and AC system taken care of once and for all. I called the heating and air conditioning company and made sure that the discount was still going on, and they told me it was. The discount was 20% off your first heating and AC visit. I went ahead and scheduled the appointment and waited for the HVAC professional to arrive. Before I knew it, Tuesday had rolled around in the heating and the AC guy made his way out to my home. I was given good news. He told me that my heating and air conditioning system was in an accident condition and that I should continue to take good care of it. That’s when I confessed that I hadn’t had a service or maintenance in a year. He was surprised and told me that he couldn’t tell, but did some basic upgrades and told me that now I wouldn’t have to worry about any kind of upgrades or maintenance for a while. I was happy that the AC system was in such good condition.

I have an amazing air filter and I just love it. It wasn’t until last year but I decided to make the switch to HEPA filters. I was really skeptical about switching to HEPA filters, but looking back at it now I’m really glad that I did. I’m glad I decided to switch over to a HEPA filter because the air filter I was using beforehand just cannot compare. I guess you could say that I was using what most people use, and that was your average disposable air filter. Using HEPA filters is far superior to using a disposable air filter. Not only doing last longer, but they do such amazing things for your indoor air quality. When I was using my regular disposable filters I still had some problems with my indoor air quality. It didn’t matter how often I went to the local heating and AC business and had them changed, I would buy multiple disposable filters and change them every two months. I thought it was just my house being extra dirty. I would clean and sanitize my house from top to bottom and change the air filter frequently and I still had issues with my indoor air quality. This was because, as I would come to learn, it wasn’t my home or my HVAC system but it was my air filter that I was using. Once I switched to using HEPA filters this all stopped.

Didn’t even wait five minutes before walking in the door

I do not like to buy new items. This really goes with almost anything with the exception being maybe clothing. This is because I have found that not only can you save money by buying used things, but you can also find many items that are just as good as I would be brand new. A recent example of this for me is that I recently bought a brand new air conditioner. Brand new to me anyways, the air conditioning system itself had been used before but the previous owner was selling it cheap because they had just upgraded to a brand new heating and air conditioning system and they didn’t need the old one. I have been needing a new AC myself and so I was keeping an eye out for some in the local classified ads. It didn’t take long before I found a guy that was selling an air conditioning system that was still in good shape. The asking price was low because he just wanted to get rid of it. So I contacted him about the air conditioner that he was offering for sale and we met up and I paid him for the AC when and then I took it home. I tested it out right then and there. Didn’t even wait five minutes before walking in the door. I immediately plugged in and wanted to see if it would work. As expected, the air conditioning system sprung to life and it started cooling down my house immediately.

I hadn’t replaced the air filter in my heating and air conditioning system in 6 months.

I know, I know, it’s not a good thing and it’s something that I really should be better at.

I know that it is important to change your air filter regularly if you plan to have good indoor air quality because your air filter is what keeps all the dust, dirt, and debris out of your air. Without having a clean air filter you’re allowing all that into your indoor air and therefore decreasing your indoor air quality. Well it might not be a good reason I completely forgot to change my air filter. It was my wife that had to remind me. I’m really glad that she did too because the phone for her I’m not sure if I ever want to remember! She has always been the kind of person to take the indoor air quality very seriously and up until now had always been the one to change it, however, because she’s been busy with work she asked me to change it this time and me being me I forgot to change the air filter. Once she reminded me I went down to the heating and air conditioning company to replace the air filter in time. I can already see an improvement in indoor air quality. Even our dogs seem to be more relaxed. It never fails to amaze me how much of a difference something as simple as a clean air filter can make. I’m going to have to make sure I change the air filters more often.

Today I decided to sell my old window air conditioning system, and I decided to sell my old window air conditioning system because I had it for 5 years and I wasn’t going to need it anymore because I was getting a brand new Central AC unit.

I went to the heating and AC business a month ago and picked out a brand new air conditioning system for my home. I was extremely excited about the upgrade and it already scheduled the heating and cooling technicians to come out and install it. Because I was going to be having the new central air conditioning system I would have no need for my old window and AC and so I decided to get rid of it. I listed it for sale but surprisingly I couldn’t get anyone to buy it and so I just had to just throw it away. I took it outside and threw it in the trash and I noticed that a day later that it was gone, however the trash had not come and collected the rest of the trash yet so I figured somebody had taken it. I didn’t mind that someone had taken it and maybe they could make you better use of it than I could. But a Heating and cooling specialist was arriving today to install my brand new Heating and AC system. I know I was just waiting for him to arrive at my home to install it.
