My mom wanted a smart thermostat when they had the new Heating & A/C plan installed, but dad said no. He liked his digital programmable thermostat. Mom told him what the Heating & A/C contractor had said about all the outstanding features of the smart thermostat. I could see my dad roll his eyes while she talked. He had heard this numerous times now, as well as he was tired of hearing her extoll all the features. He didn’t suppose all of us needed a smart thermostat, unless she just wanted another app on her iPhone. He certainly didn’t plan on extended trips where he thought the Heating & A/C plan needed 24/7 monitoring. They took their trips during the Springtime or fall, when there was no need for Heating & A/C. Mom said it would make her suppose more comfortable being away from the house. He told her to leave as well as he would monitor the Heating & A/C plan for her. I was trying not to laugh out loud, since they sounded so much love children arguing over toys. I walked into the residing room as well as told them I liked the thermostat they already had. In mom’s words, why would all of us change something that isn’t broken? Mom gave myself and others a dirty look because I had sided with her, as well as dad shook his head as well as walked away. He only picked up half of what I was asking about the AC unit. Instead of admitting he had a hearing problem, he answered the question with an answer that would suit as long as the question only needed a simple yes or no answer. I knew it would embarrass myself and others if the same Heating & A/C contractor showed up to work on my gas furnace.

I thought he looked familiar, but I thought maybe he was someone our sibling graduated with, & our sibling was almost 10 years older than I was, you can’t imagine how shocked I was when he told me his name & this time it clicked.

Last week, I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier to have some labor done on our a/c unit. I still had cool air coming from the AC unit, but I been hearing a few weird noises over the last three days. This time of year, it often took longer for an Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional to arrive because of breakdowns that occur during heat waves. It surprised me it took him less than a week to arrive at our house. When the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional arrived, I showed him to the a/c unit & provided him a glass of iced tea. It was so tepid outside that I couldn’t let him labor with the sun beating down on him & not having something freezing to drink. He refused the iced tea, even though he accepted a bottle of energy drink that I had in the fridge. I noticed he kept looking into the living room window at me as he worked on our a/c unit. I thought he looked familiar, but I thought maybe he was someone our sibling graduated with, & our sibling was almost 10 years older than I was, you can’t imagine how shocked I was when he told me his name & this time it clicked. I had graduated school with this man, & yet he looked so much older. The sun had weathered his skin as much as it weathered the a/c units he worked on. Before realizing who the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional was, I thought he was at least 50 years old. When I finally recognized him, I realized he was no older than I was, & I was only 32.

Last week, all of us had some heavy downpours with vivid lightning & booming thunder.

Every time the thunder boomed, our pet run under the bed & our child was right behind him.

The lightning sounded love it was hitting every tree, & getting closer to our home. I couldn’t guess the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional hadn’t called & let us believe he would not be there to labor on the a/c unit. I was sad about him out there in this thunder storm, since the AC unit was metal. I sad the lightning would strike while he was in the AC unit & he would get struck. About various seconds before he was to arrive, he called to let us believe he wasn’t coming that day. He said he was afraid to labor in the AC unit with all the thunder & lightning & promised he would be there the following day. I had been without a/c for various days now, & I didn’t want to go without it for much longer. I sucked it up & turned on all the fans in the house, until the power went off. I was now without a/c & I didn’t have a fan to help keep me cool. I wondered why I hadn’t insisted the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional arrived until another flash of lightning & a crack of thunder cut the skies. All I could do was wait until the storm was over, hope the power would come back on, & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional kept to his labor & showed up to fix the cooling system the next day.

When you are an Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C serviceman, you come across some pretty odd situations.

I am working on a/c units out in the middle of nowhere, as well as anything could happen. I care about my task, but every once in a while you come across a situation I am just not sure how to handle. He walked to this chair, detachd his robe as well as laid back down. I worked as abruptly as I could to get the AC device repaired. When a coworker asked myself and others how the AC maintenance went, I said it was just another day of work.
