I can remember back in the afternoon when I had a window a/c device in our bedroom growing up.

This was before central heating plus a/cs were a thing in residential homes.

I liked the way the window a/c cooled the room, however it was so noisy that I had trouble sleeping sometimes. And in those afternoons, there was nothing you could do about that. It was either deal with the noise of the window a/c or suffer with no a/c. It was rather warm in the summers where I grew up, so a/c was a must. There was simply no way around it unless you wanted to be in total discomfort, but so what I used to do to try to combat the noise was wear ear plugs to sleep. But I could only do that on weekends when I did not have to wake up to an alarm clock for school. So you see, it was quite a hassle. I am so cheerful that this week we all have central heating plus a/cs available to us that are affordable to the average joe. Because I do not think I could deal with the noisy window a/cs at this point in our life getting to be middle aged heading towards outdated lady territory. I need sleep now more than when I was a kid, so window a/cs plus their noisy ways would simply just not work for me this week!

During a horrible Winter time storm, my power went out.

This was wonderful sitting in the dark for a few hours, although I was not wonderful sitting without heat.

The snow was falling swiftly & the wind was blowing at least 10 miles per hour & it looked nasty outside. I called my parents & told them about my predicament, however neither of us knew what to do! With the weather being so bad, I couldn’t travel to their current home & they couldn’t come to mine. My only option was to ride out the storm in my heatless current home until it had cleared up enough to leave. This wasn’t my first Winter time storm, so I was a little prepared for the occasion. I had my flashlights ready & a battery powered gas furnace to keep me warm. The gas furnace wouldn’t run absolutely efficiently, however it would be enough to keep me hot if I needed to be. I decided to wait as long as possible before turning on my battery powered heater. After an hour or so, I caved & turned on the heater. I sat directly in front of it to guess the most heat. Once I was hot enough, I would turn off the heat & bundle myself under every blanket I owned. This cycle continued for hours. Once the storm stopped & the roads were cleared, I went to my parents current home to hot up. They had a gas gas furnace, which meant their current home was absolutely hot & cozy.

I’ve had a ductless mini cut plan in our bedroom for years.

I wasn’t the original one who installed it, but I suppose the previous owners were.

I was hesitant about using the ductless plan because I’d never used one before, but I’ve grown to love it, however since it’s mounted close to the ceiling, it’s out of the way plus it blends into the wall. The ductless plan runs off of electricity plus the remote control is super simple to use. I can turn the ductless mini cut component on plus off, I can flip between heat plus air, plus I can adjust the temperature, but only having these several features makes it simple for myself and others to heat plus cool our room. The ductless plan in our bedroom had always been great, however, I was beginning to notice a downgrade in our air quality. It felt love I was always dusting plus vacuuming because dust plus debri was settling onto all the surfaces at a rapid rate. I also noticed that our allergies were flaring up whenever I was sleeping, which was unfamiliar for the time of year it was. Since I was a area of the annual HVAC comfort club, I called an HVAC professional to come look at the ductless unit. Upon hearing our troubles plus examining the ductless component himself, he told myself and others that I needed to clean the air filter. I didn’t know the ductless mini cut component had an air filter, so this was news to me! Now, I know what kind of maintenance needs to be done in the future.

I wasn’t able to get my A/C program inspected before I turned on my A/C program for the season.

With my work schedule being so crazy and the Heating and Air Conditioning company being completely booked for various weeks, I had no option however to turn on my A/C program before it was looked at by an Heating and Air Conditioning professional.

I had fears about turning it on because the component had been kneeling untouched for various weeks while the furnace ran during the winter. I knew the A/C program was in good shape when I turned it off for the season, however there was still a little fear that something would be wrong when I turned it on. The temperature outside paired with the humidity levels didn’t leave me any option however to turn on the A/C though. When it began running, I noticed a dusty smell coming through the air vents, although I assumed it was normal. However, when it wouldn’t go away, I thought something was wrong. I began to panic and my fear about something being wrong was growing, so I went online and tried to see what it could be. After doing the best research I could, I found a website from a local Heating and Air Conditioning company that said the dusty smell was normal. My A/C program had been kneeling for a long time and a lot of dust had accumulated. All of that dust was being pushed into my new home and it would disappear in a few minutes. If the smell didn’t go away though, I would need to have the program looked at by an Heating and Air Conditioning professional.

When I first began laboring from home, I thought I’d like it.

I liked the program of being in the comfort of my own space and having access to everything I could possibly need. I set up my belongings on the study room table and tried to limit my distractions during my normal work minutes, for the most part, I was able to keep myself disciplined enough to complete my assignments, although I began to dread laboring from home. The study room was humid and there was a musty smell along with lingering smells from lunch the previous night. I want to go back to the office where the air quality was better. One day, while I was mumbling about how much I hated laboring in my study room, I decided to call an Heating and Air Conditioning company to come repair my Heating and Air Conditioning system. It was long overdue for a tune up, and I thought it could help. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional who inspected my Heating and Air Conditioning program told me that 1 of my greatest complications with the humidity. To combat it, I needed to find a dehumidifier to eliminate the excess moisture from the air. Once it was removed, the aromas would lesson and I’d be able to work in a comfortable space. I’d never considered a dehumidifier before, however it made sense. The Heating and Air Conditioning professional also proposed that I have a whole new home dehumidifier added to my Heating and Air Conditioning program so the entire new home could reap the benefits. I agreed, and once it was installed, I could not know the positive difference in air quality in my house, however especially the study room.
