Getting rid of the cold spots in our house

There are cold spots in our home now and we are going to have to figure out what the we are going to do about it.

Neither my fiance nor I know anything at all about heating and cooling systems, and so we have basically just been strolling around trying to figure out where all of these cold spots are coming from in our house, I did a little bit of reading online to try and figure out what the problem was, and this one Heating, Ventilation, and A/C blog that I follow said that cold spots are usually caused by troubles within your ventilation ducts. I thought that that was an interesting bit of information, since I was thinking that the cold spots were caused by other problems like a issue with the heating system plan itself. It turns out that the heating system at our home was working just fine, however the we were just having troubles with their ventilation ducts, then but I’m getting ahead of myself! After I had done that bit of research, I decided that we would call up our local heating and cooling supplier and have them come out to check out our ventilation plan for us, but we did not have any of the tools needed to decide whether or not this was the problem, so we knew that the two of us needed a professional. After the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C professional came out to the house, it did not take him long at all to figure out that the concern was indeed, our ventilation ducts, some of our ductwork sealing was not working well and we had some holes and broken places where the heating was escaping into non- inhabited areas of the home savor the attic.
